Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist at Saint Francis Hospital, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating patients' condition: Assessing patients' needs, personal goals, and medical history to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implementing therapy: Providing hands-on physical therapy interventions, exercises, and modalities to improve patients' physical functioning and relieve pain.
  • Monitoring progress: Regularly assessing and documenting patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals: Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience: Proven experience in providing physical therapy services, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Compassion: A compassionate and empathetic nature to provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their recovery process.
  • Physical stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods, as well as the physical strength to assist patients with mobility challenges.
