Description
A Diabetes Self-Care Education Program is offered through Bay Regional Medical Center. Sessions with a diabetes education nurse and registered dietitian are offered weekly. Topics include diabetes diagnosis and progression, meal planning and carbohydrate counting, knowing your numbers, preventing complications, stress management and goal setting. Our Diabetes Self-Care Education Program is certified by the State of Michigan Department of Community Health and has met the National Standards and the American Diabetes Association.
